What To Do After Retirement or As a Second Income Source....

As we speak to veteran law enforcement and security officers, we continue to learn that law enforcement professionals are reluctant to retire due to impending financial obligations, such as the rising cost of college tuition for their children, home mortgages and other expenses they fear that they will not be able to afford or support.

With a commendable law enforcement or security career comes great opportunities for training and the benefits of lessons learned during the officer's lengthy career.

This NPSOAA Professional Development Section will offer a continuous focus upon and highlight a host of post-retirement careers and sources of additional income that can be easily attained based on what officers have learned, their career specialties and the skills that can be honed with self-study and self-training.

Some of the occupational skills we will highlight include:

*Insurance Investigation

*Emergency 9-1-1 Dispatch

*Investigative Research

*Private Investigation

*Hospital Securiy Management

*Polygraph Administration

*Security Management

*Casino Security

*Counter-Terrorism

*Executive Protection

*Authorship and Publishing

And Many, Many More, In Your Interest.

If there is a topic or occupational specialty in which you have an interest and need additional information and resources, please feel free to complete the Information Survey Form below and Submit it. A timely response will follow.

Thank You Again, for Your Interest and Support.
